Tibet's purple cause

Let's turn to Tibet for a change.

Tibetans have always shown their faith on their sleeves. They could easily be called the most taciturn and harmless human species on whole of earth. Their purity of way can't be questioned in any form. They have always adhered to the Buddhist way of life in the best possible manner. But in recent days, what we see is nothing short of an explosion and with monks running amok on Lhasan road is nothing short of deep hurt spectacle of tyranny. How strange to see these monks clad in purple altar showing their disappointment at being so subjugated and strangulated in their own land. China has a culture of transgression and that is true for any other empire that could claim itself to be historically great, but continuing this medieval psychology won't let China play its cards well in the game of upmanship, as United States did in post-WW era. Every other nation with even an inkling of what's happening on the roof of the world and still feigning insouciance is liable to be threatened with future repercussion in balance of world power.

China could have easily overcome this huge obstacle by playing it soft handed. It should have shown its better records at handling human rights issues. Even USSR progressed well in this case, post Stalin epoch massacres. It can't be refuted that China is garnering an old mask of Bolshevism with upright scepter of capitalism on its fiery pace to conquer the world. Its maddening to know that even a common Chinese is so spoon-fed with China's impending glory that they are not bothering to look at the other side of reasoning. Who are the people that are going to be persecuted, made to embrace an alien and detested culture? Tibetans, of course.

India can't be exonerated for it's cowardice in its neighbor's affair and trying not to get entangled in China's wrath but on the other hand what we see is endearment on China's side to fuel the mistrust between Indo and Pak border. Strange!
